5. Hadith

5.1 It has been narrated on the authority of Jabir ibn Samura (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said:

"This order will continue to be dominant until there have been twelve Caliphs. The narrator says: Then he said something which I could not understand, and I said to my father: What did he say? My father told me that he said that all of them (Caliphs) would be from the Quraish."

5.2 Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said: When the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) came to Medina, he found the Jews observing fast on the day of 'Ashurah; so they were asked about it (by the Prophet). They said: This is a day on which Allah gave Moses domination over Pharaoh. We fast on it out of reverence to him. The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: We have a closer connection with Moses than you have. He then gave orders that it should be observed.

5.3 It his been narrated on the authority of Umair ibn Umm Hani (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) say: A group of people from my Umma will continue to obey Allah's Command, and those who desert or oppose them shall not be able to do them any harm. They will be dominating the peeple until Allah's Command is executed (i. e. Resurrection is established).

5.4 Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) reported: I heard Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) saying,
"When Allah created the creatures, He wrote in the Book, which is with Him over His Throne:

إن رحمتي تغلب غضبي‏

'Verily, My Mercy prevailed over My Wrath"

5.5 It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: "Vows do not bring the son of Adam anything unless it has been decreed for him. But he is dominated by Divine preordainment, and will get what is decreed for him. And (vows) are a means of making the miser give something, so what he desires becomes obtainable for him, which was not obtainable before his vow. And Allah says: 'Spend, I will spend on you.'

5.6 Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه) reported that a person said: O Allah's Messenger (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), I have relatives with whom I try, to have close relationship, but they sever (this relation). I treat them well, but they treat me ill. I am sweet to them but they are harsh towards me. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet) said: If it is so as you say, then you in fact throw hot ashes (upon their faces) and there would always remain with you on behalf of Allah (an Angel to support you) who would keep you dominant over them so long as you adhere to this (path of righteousness).
