4. Quran
وإن يمسسك الله بضرّ فلا كاشف له إلا هو
And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him. (6:17)
بل إياه تدعون فيكشف ما تدعون إليه إن شاء
No, it is Him [alone] you would invoke, and He would remove that for which you invoked Him if He willed. (6:41)
ويشف صدور قوم مؤمنين
And He will heal the breasts of folk who are believers. (9:14)
وإذا مس الإنسان الضر دعانا لجنبه أو قاعدا أو قائما فلما كشفنا عنه ضره مر كأن لم يدعنا إلى ضرّ مسه كذلك زين للمسرفين ما كانوا يعملون
And when affliction touches man, he calls upon Us, whether lying on his side or sitting or standing; but when We remove from him his affliction, he continues [in disobedience] as if he had never called upon Us to [remove] an affliction that touched him. Thus is made pleasing to the transgressors that which they have been doing. (10:12)
فلولا كانت قرية آمنت فنفعها إيمانها إلا قوم يونس لما آمنوا كشفنا عنهم عذاب الخزي في الحياة الدنيا ومتعناهم إلى حين
Then has there not been a [single] city that believed so its faith benefited it except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in worldly life and gave them enjoyment for a time. (10:98)
يا أيها الناس قد جاءتكم موعظة من ربكم وشفاء لما في الصدور وهدى ورحمة للمؤمنين
O mankind, there has to come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers. (10:57)
وإن يمسسك الله بضرّ فلا كاشف له إلا هو وإن يردك بخير فلا راد لفضله يصيب به من يشاء من عباده وهو الغفور الرحيم
And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him; and if He intends for you good, then there is no repeller of His bounty. He causes it to reach whom He wills of His servants. And He is the Forgiving, the Merciful. (10:107)
ثم إذا كشف الضر عنكم إذا فريق منكم بربهم يشركون
Then when He removes the adversity from you, at once a party of you associates others with their Lord. (16:54)
يخرج من بطونها شراب مختلف ألوانه فيه شفاء للناس
There emerges from their bellies a drink, varying in colors, in which there is healing for people. (16:69)
قل ادعوا الذين زعمتم من دونه فلا يملكون كشف الضر عنكم ولا تحويلا
Say, "Invoke those you have claimed [as gods] besides Him, for they do not possess the [ability for] removal of adversity from you or [for its] transfer [to someone else]." (17:56)
وننزل من القرآن ما هو شفاء ورحمة للمؤمنين
And We send down of the Qur'an that which is healing and mercy for the believers. (17:82)
فاستجبنا له فكشفنا ما به من ضرّ
So We responded to him and removed what afflicted him of adversity. (21:84)
فاستجبنا له ووهبنا له يحيى وأصلحنا له زوجه
So We answered his call, and We bestowed upon him Yahya (John), and cured his wife (to bear a child) for him. (21:90)
ولو رحمناهم وكشفنا ما بهم من ضرّ للجوا في طغيانهم يعمهون
And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. (23:75)
وإذا مرضت فهو يشفين
And when I am ill, it is He who cures me. (26:80)
أمن يجيب المضطر إذا دعاه ويكشف السوء ويجعلكم خلفاء الأرض أإله مع الله قليلا ما تذكرون
Is He [not best] who responds to the desperate one when he calls upon Him and removes evil and makes you inheritors of the earth? Is there a deity with Allah ? Little do you remember. (27:62)
قل أفرأيتم ما تدعون من دون الله إن أرادني الله بضرّ هل هن كاشفات ضره أو أرادني برحمة هل هن ممسكات رحمته
Say, "Then have you considered what you invoke besides Allah ? If Allah intended me harm, are they removers of His harm; or if He intended me mercy, are they withholders of His mercy?" (39:38)
قل هو للذين آمنوا هدى وشفاء
Say, "It is, for those who believe, a guidance and cure." (41:44)
ليس لها من دون الله كاشفة
Of it, [from those] besides Allah , there is no remover. (53:58)
وقيل من راق
And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" (75:27)
وأبرئ الأكمه والأبرص وأحيي الموتى بإذن الله
And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead - by permission of Allah. (3:49)
وتبرئ الأكمه والأبرص بإذني وإذ تخرج الموتى بإذني
And you healed the blind and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission. (5:110)
5. Hadith
5.1 Anas (رضي الله عنه) reported: I said to Thabit (رضي الله عنه) Should I not perform Ruqyah (i.e., recite supplication or Quranic Ayat and blow) over you, such supplication as was practised by the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)?" He said: "Please do so." Anas (رضي الله عنه) supplicated:
اللهم رب الناس، مذهب البأس، اشف أنت الشافي، لا شافي إلا أنت، شفاءً لا يغادر سقماً
"O Allah! the Rubb of mankind! Take away this disease and cure (him or her). You are the Curer. There is no cure except through You. Cure (him or her), a cure that leaves no disease."
5.2 Anas (رضي الله عنه) reported Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) as saying,
إِذَا ابْتُلِيَ الْمُسْلِمُ بِبَلَاءٍ فِي جَسَدِهِ قِيلَ لِلْمَلَكِ: اكْتُبْ لَهُ صَالِحَ عَمَلِهِ الَّذِي كَانَ يَعْمَلُ فَإِنْ شَفَاهُ غَسَّلَهُ وَطَهَّرَهُ وَإِنْ قَبَضَهُ غَفَرَ لَهُ وَرَحِمَهُ
“When a Muslim is afflicted with some trouble in his body the angel is told to record for him his good deeds which he was accustomed to do. Then if Allah cures him He washes and purifies him [from sins], and if He takes him in death He forgives him and shows mercy to him.”
5.3 Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) reported: Jibril (عليه السلام) came to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and said: "O Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)! Do you feel sick?" He (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, "Yes." Jibril supplicated thus (i.e., he performed Ruqyah):
بسم الله أرقيك ، من كل شيء يؤذيك، ومن شر كل نفس أو عين حاسد، الله يشفيك، بسم الله أرقيك
"With the Name of Allah. I recite over you (to cleanse you) from all that troubles you, and from every harmful mischief and from the evil of the eyes of an envier. Allah will cure you; and with the Name of Allah, I recite over you."
5.4 Abu 'Abdullah bin Abul-'as (رضي الله عنه) reported: I complained to the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) about a pain I had in my body. The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, "Place your hand where you feel pain and say:
بسم الله
'With the Name of Allah'
three times; and then repeat seven times:
أعوذ بعزة الله وقدرته من شر ما أجد وأحاذر
I seek refuge with Allah and with His Power from the evil that afflicts me and that which I apprehend."'
5.5 It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin Nafi’ said: Abu Moosa al-Ash’ari visited al-Hasan bin ‘Ali (رضي الله عنهم) when he was sick. ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said to him: Are you visiting him because he is sick, or is this a social visit? Abu Moosa said: Rather I have come to visit him because he is sick. `Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) say:
مَنْ عَادَ مَرِيضًا بَكَرًا شَيَّعَهُ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ كُلُّهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُ لَهُ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ وَكَانَ لَهُ خَرِيفٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنْ عَادَهُ مَسَاءً شَيَّعَهُ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ كُلُّهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُ لَهُ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ وَكَانَ لَهُ خَرِيفٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ
"Whoever visits a sick person in the morning, seventy thousand angels will go out with him, all of them praying for forgiveness for him, until evening comes, and he will have a garden in Paradise. And whoever visits a sick person in the evening, seventy thousand angels will go out with him, all of them praying for forgiveness for him until morning comes, and he will have a garden in Paradise."
5.6 Narrated Ibn `Abbas (رضي الله عنه): Allah's Messenger (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) entered upon sick man to pay him a visit, and said to him,
لاَ بَأْسَ طَهُورٌ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ
"Don't worry, Allah willing, (your sickness will be) an expiation for your sins."
5.7 It is narrated by Aisha' (رضي الله عنها) that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said,
مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُصَابُ بِمُصِيبَةٍ، وَجَعٍ أَوْ مَرَضٍ، إِلاَّ كَانَ كَفَّارَةَ ذُنُوبِهِ، حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةُ يُشَاكُهَا، أَوِ النَّكْبَةُ
"When a Muslim is afflicted by an anxiety, pain or sickness then, because of that, his sins are atoned. So much, so that if a thorn pricks him or he suffers a simple, minor injury (His sins are forgiven)”.
5.8 Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) reported: The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, "He who visits a sick person who is not on the point of death and supplicates seven times:
أسأل الله العظيم رب العرش العظيم أن يشفيك
I beseech Allah the Great, the Rubb of the Great Throne, to heal you,
Allah will certainly heal him from that sickness."
5.9 Jabir (رضي الله عنه) reported Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) as saying,
يَوَدُّ أَهْلُ الْعَافِيَةِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حِينَ يُعْطَى أَهْلُ الْبَلَاءِ الثَّوَابَ لَوْ أَنَّ جُلُودَهُمْ كَانَتْ قُرِضَتْ فِي الدُّنْيَا بِالْمَقَارِيضِ
"On the day of resurrection, when people who have suffered affliction are given their reward, those who are healthy will wish their skins had been cut to pieces with scissors when they were in the world.”
5.10 'Ata' bin Abu Rabah reported: Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهم) asked him whether he would like that he should show him a woman who is from the people Jannah. When he replied that he certainly would, he said, "This black woman, who came to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and said, 'I suffer from epilepsy and during fits my body is exposed, so make supplication to Allah for me.' He (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) replied:
إن شئت صبرت ولك الجنة، وإن شئت دعوت الله تعالى أن يعافيك
'If you wish you endure it patiently and you be rewarded with Jannah, or if you wish, I shall make supplication to Allah to cure you?'
She said, 'I shall endure it.' Then she added: 'But my body is exposed, so pray to Allah that it may not happen.' He [Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)] then supplicated for her".
6. Duas
إلهي وربي من لي غيرك أسأله كشف ضري والنظر في أمري؟
يامن إسمه دوأ، وذكره شفأ، وطاعته غنى إرحم من رأس ماله الرجأ وسلاحه البكأ
اللهم إني أسألك باسمك يا كافي يا شافي يا وافي يا معافي يا هادي يا داعي يا قاضي يا راضي يا عالي يا باقي . سبحانك يا لا إله إلا انت الغوث الغوث الغوث خلصنا من النار يا رب
یا کافی من استکفاه یا هادی من استهداه یا کالی من استکلاه یا راعی من استرعاه یا شافی من استشفاه یا قاضی من استقضاه یا مغنی من استغناه یا موفی من استوفاه یا مقوی من استقواه یا ولی من استولاه. سبحانک یا لا اله الا انت الغوث الغوث خلصنا من النار یا رب
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ولو أن قرآنا سيرت به الجبال أو قطعت به الأرض أو كلم به الموتى بل لله الامر جميعا، يا شافي يا كافي يا معافي وبالحق أنزلناه وبالحق نزل، وما أرسلناك إلا مبشرا ونذيرا باسم فلان بن فلان، ببسم الله وبالله، ومن الله وإلى الله، ولا غالب إلا الله
بسم الله محمد رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) اشفني يا شافي لا شفاء إلا شفاؤك، شفاء لا يغادر سقما، شفاء من كل داء وسقم
اشف يا شافي لا شفاء إلا شفاؤك، شفاء لا يغادر سقما
بسم الله الشافي، بسم الله الكافي، بسم الله المعافي، بسم الله الذي لا يضر مع اسمه شئ ولا داء في الأرض ولا في السماء، وهو السميع العليم
يا موضع كل شكوى، يا سامع كل نجوى، يا شافي كل بلوى، ويا عالم كل خفية، ويا كاشف ما يشاء من كل بلية، أدعوك دعاء من اشتدت فاقته وضعفت قوته، وقلت حيلته، دعاء الغريب الغريق الفقير الذي لا يجد لكشف ما هو فيه إلا أنت يا أرحم الراحمين، لا إله إلا أنت سبحانك إني كنت من الظالمين
يا سيداه ويا رباه، ويا ذا الجلال والاكرام، ويا ذا العرش الذي لا ينام، ويا ذا العز الذي لا يرام، يا قاضي الأمور، يا شافي الصدور، اجعل لي من أمري فرجا ومخرجا، واقذف رجاءك في قلبي، حتى لا أرجو أحدا سواك، عليك سيدي توكلت، وإليك مولاي أنبت، وإليك المصير. أسألك يا إله الآلهة، وجبار الجبابرة، ويا كبير الأكابر، الذي من توكل عليه كفاه، وكان حسبه وبالغ أمره، عليك توكلت فاكفني، وإليك أنبت فارحمني، وإليك المصير فاغفر لي، ولا تسود وجهي يوم تسود وجوه وتبيض وجوه، إنك أنت العزيز الحكيم، وصل اللهم على محمد وآل محمد، وارحمني وتجاوز عني، إنك أنت الغفور الرحيم
﴾ آمین یا رب العالمین ﴿
