Explanation
The One who is unique in His essence and He has no second, no partner, peer or rival. He is the one source from which all of the creation springs forth.
The One unique starting point from which all else has arisen. The One source from which all of creation springs forth. The One whose unity includes all that appears as diverse, separate or individual.
Quran
And your god is one God. There is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. (2:163)
Say, " Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Prevailing." (13:16)
[It will be] on the Day the earth will be replaced by another earth, and the heavens [as well], and all creatures will come out before Allah, the One, the Prevailing. (14:48)
Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing. (38:65)
Say, "It is only revealed to me that your god is but one God; so will you be Muslims [in submission to Him]?" (21:108)
They have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allah, and [also] the Messiah, the son of Mary. And they were not commanded except to worship one God; there is no deity except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him. (9:31)
Hadith
It was narrated that Anas bin Malik (رضي الله عنه) said: "The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) heard a man say:
'O Allah! I ask You by virtue of the fact that all praise is due to You; none has the right to be worshiped but You alone, and You have no partner or associate, the Bestower, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, the Possessor of majesty and honor.'
He (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: 'He has asked Allah by His Greatest Name which, if He is asked thereby He gives and if He is called upon thereby He answers.'"
(Sunan Ibn Majah 3858)
Mu'awiyah ibn Abu Sufyan (رضي الله عنه) narrated The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said whoever makes dua with these five Kalimat
Allah will give him whatever he has asked for.
(Tabrani, Targheeb and Majma az-Zawaid)
Narrated Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: If anyone says in the morning:
"O Allah! in the morning we call Thee, the bearers of Thy Throne, Thy angels, and all Thy creatures to witness that Thou art Allah than Whom there is no god, Thou being alone and without a partner, and that Muhammad is Thy servant and Thy Apostle,"
Allah will forgive him any sins that he commits that day; and if he repeats them in the evening. Allah will forgive him any sins he commits that night.
(Sunan Abi Dawud 5078)
Narrated Abdullah ibn Ghannam (رضي الله عنه): The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: If anyone says in the morning:
"O Allah! whatever favour has come to me, it comes from Thee alone Who has no partner; to Thee praise is due and thanksgiving,'!
he will have expressed full thanksgiving for the day; and if anyone says the same in the evening, he will have expressed full thanksgiving for the night.
(Sunan Abi Dawud 5073)
Narrated Zayd ibn Arqam (رضي الله عنه): I heard the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) saying after his prayer:
"O Allah, our Lord and Lord of everything, I bear witness that Thou art the Lord alone Who hast no partner; O Allah, Our Lord and Lord of everything, I bear witness that Muhammad is Thy servant and Thy apostle ; O Allah, our Lord and Lord of everything, I bear witness that all the servants are brethren; O Allah, our Lord and Lord of everything make me sincere to Thee, and my family too at every moment, in this world and in the world hereafter, O Possessor of glory and honour, listen to me and answer. Allah is incomparably great. O Allah, Light of the heavens and of the earth".
The narrator Sulaiman b. Dawud said:
"Lord of the heavens and of the earth, Allah is incomparably great. Allah is sufficient for me; and the excellent guardian is He; Allah is incomparably great."

Quran
وَإِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ ۖ لَّا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ الرَّحِيمُ
قُلِ اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ
يَوْمَ تُبَدَّلُ الْأَرْضُ غَيْرَ الْأَرْضِ وَالسَّمَاوَاتُ ۖ وَبَرَزُوا لِلَّهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْقَهَّارِ
قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا مُنذِرٌ ۖ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ
قُلْ إِنَّمَا يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَا إِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ
اتَّخَذُوا أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَالْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا إِلَٰهًا وَاحِدًا ۖ لَّا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Hadith
It was narrated that Anas bin Malik (رضي الله عنه) said: "The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) heard a man say:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَكَ الْمَنَّانُ بَدِيعُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ ذُو الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ
He (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: 'He has asked Allah by His Greatest Name which, if He is asked thereby He gives and if He is called upon thereby He answers.'"

لا الہ الا اللہ واللہ اکبر
لا الہ الا اللہ وحدہ لا شریک لہ،لہ الملک ولہ الحمد
وھو علی کل شیء قدیر
وھو علی کل شیء قدیر
لا الہ الا اللہ
ولا حول ولا قوۃ الا باللہ
Allah will give him whatever he has asked for.
(Tabrani, Targheeb and Majma az-Zawaid)
Narrated Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: If anyone says in the morning:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ أُشْهِدُكَ وَأُشْهِدُ حَمَلَةَ عَرْشِكَ وَمَلاَئِكَتَكَ وَجَمِيعَ خَلْقِكَ أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَكَ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ
Allah will forgive him any sins that he commits that day; and if he repeats them in the evening. Allah will forgive him any sins he commits that night.

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ أَنَا شَهِيدٌ أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ الرَّبُّ وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَكَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ أَنَا شَهِيدٌ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ أَنَا شَهِيدٌ أَنَّ الْعِبَادَ كُلَّهُمْ إِخْوَةٌ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ اجْعَلْنِي مُخْلِصًا لَكَ وَأَهْلِي فِي كُلِّ سَاعَةٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ اسْمَعْ وَاسْتَجِبِ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ الأَكْبَرُ اللَّهُمَّ نُورَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ
The narrator Sulaiman b. Dawud said:
رَبَّ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُالأَكْبَرُ حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُالأَكْبَرُ
(Sunan Abi Dawud 1508)
Benefits of invoking (Ya Allahu) Ya Wahidu frequently
- Firm belief in Tawhid and patience
- Will be bestowed with a righteous son
- Immunity from fear of being alone
- Strengthen heart against delusions
- Manifestation of divine knowledge (Marifah) in dream
