“None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, the Forbearing, the Most Generous; glory is to Allah the Lord of the Mighty Throne; glory is to Allah, the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the Magnificent Throne).”

"There is no god but Allah, the Great, the Tolerant, there is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Magnificent Throne There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Heaven and the earth, the Lord of the Edifying Throne."

'There is no god but Allah, the Immense, the Forbearing. There is no god but Prophet, the Lord of the heavens and the earth and the Lord of the Immense Throne.' O Allah, avert its evil."

“There is none worthy of worship except Allah, the Forbearing, the Wise, there is none worthy of worship except Allah, the Lord of the Magnificent Throne, there is none worthy of worship except Allah, the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and the Lord of the Noble Throne.”

(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3435)

5.5 Aishah (رضي الله عنها) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) used to say:

None has the right to be worshipped by Allah, the Most High, the Magnificent. None has the right to be worshipped by Allah, the Forbearing, the Generous. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah. Glory to Allah, the Lord of the Magnificent Throne’. ”

“Indeed, Allah, is Hayy, Generous, when a man raises his hands to Him, He feels too shy to return them to him empty and rejected.”

(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3556)

5.8 Ibn 'Abbas  (رضي الله عنه) said, "Whoever has a worry, sorrow or grief or fears a ruler, should use this supplication and he will be answered. It is:

'I ask You by (the words) "There is no god but You, the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the Immense Throne" and I ask You by (the words) "There is no god but You, the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the Immense Throne" and I ask You by (the words) "There is no god but You, the Lord of the seven heavens and the seven earths and what is in them. You have power over all things.'"

Then he should ask for what he needs."
(Al-Adab Al-Mufrad Book 1, Hadith 106)

5.9 Narrated Ali ibn Abi Talib  (رضي الله عنه): The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) used to say when he lay down:

O Allah, I seek refuge in Thy noble Person and in Thy perfect Words from the evil of what Thou seizest by its forelock; O Allah! Thou removest debt and sin; O Allah! thy troop's not routed, Thy promise is not broken and the riches of the rich do not avail against Thee. Glory and praise be unto Thee!.

(Sunan Abi Dawud 5052)

5.10 It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin Abi Awfa Al-Aslami  (رضي الله عنه) said: “The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) came out to us and said: ‘Whoever has some need from Allah or from any of His creation, let him perform ablution and pray two Rak’ah, then let him say:

None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, the Forbearing, the Most Generous. Glory is to Allah, the Lord of the Mighty Throne. Praise is to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. O Allah, I ask You for the means of Your mercy and forgiveness, the benefit of every good deed and safety from all sins. I ask You not to leave any sin of mine but You forgive it, or any distress but You relieve it, or any need that is pleasing to You but You meet it.

Then he should ask Allah for whatever he wants in this world and in the Hereafter, for it is decreed.”

(Sunan Ibn Majah Vol. 1, Book 5, Hadith 1384)

5.11 `Abdullah bin Abi Awfa  (رضي الله عنه) narrated that : Allah's Messenger (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: "Whoever has a need from Allah, or from one of the sons of Adam, then let him perform Wudu', performing it well, then pray two Rak`ah, then praise Allah and say Salat upon the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). Then let him say:

'None has the right to be worshiped but Allah. Al-Halim (the Forbearing) Al-Karim (the Generous). Glorious is Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne. All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. I ask You for that which warrants Your mercy, and that which will determine Your forgiveness, and the spoils (fruits) of every righteous deed, and safety from every sin; do not leave a sin for me without forgiving it, nor a worry without relieving it. Or a need that pleases you without granting it. O Most-Merciful of those who have mercy.'"

(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 479)

5.12 Aishah (رضي الله عنها) narrated: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), what is your view if I know when the Night of Al-Qadr is, then what should I say in it?” He said: ‘Say:

“O Allah, indeed You are Pardoning, [Generous,] You love pardon, so pardon me’ .”

(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3513)

5.13 Narrated Abu Salamah ; Abu Hurayrah (رضی الله عنهم): The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said:

The believer is simple and generous, but the profligate is deceitful and ignoble.

(Sunan Abi Dawud 4790)

5.14 Yahya related to me from Malik that Yahya ibn Said (رضی الله عنهم)said, "When the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was taken on the Night Journey, he saw an evil jinn seeking him with a torch of fire. Whenever the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) turned, he saw him. Jibril (عليه السلام) said to him, 'Shall I teach you some words to say? When you say them, his torch will be put out and will fall from him.' The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) 'Yes, indeed.' Jibril said, 'Say,

'I seek refuge with the Noble Face of Allah and with the complete words of Allah which neither the good person nor the corrupt can exceed, from the evil of what descends from the sky and the evil of what ascends in it, and from the evil of what is created in the earth and the evil of what comes out of it, and from the trials of the night and day, and from the visitations of the night and day, except for one that knocks with good, O Merciful!" "'

(Muwatta Malik Book 51, Hadith 10)

5.15 Haiwah b. Shuraih (رضي الله عنه) reported : I met ‘Uqbah b. Muslim (رضي الله عنه) and said to him: it has been reported to me that someone has narrated to you from the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) that when he entered the mosque, he would say:

I seek refuge in Allah, the Magnificent, and in His noble face, and in his eternal domain, from the accursed Devil.

He asked : is it so much only? I said: Yes. He said: when anyone says so. The devil says: he is protected from me all the day long.

(Sunan Abi Dawud 466)

5.16 It was narrated from Mu'adh bin Jabal (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said:

"Campaigns are of two types. As for the one who seek the Face of Allah, obeys the imam, spends what is precious to him, is easy-going with his companion and avoids mischief, when he is asleep and when he is awake, it will all bring reward. But as for the one who fights to show off, and he disobeys the imam and does mischief in the land, he will not come back the same as when he left."

It was not simply be the case that he comes back with no good deeds to his credit, rather he will have a number of evil deeds on his record.

(Sunan an-Nasa'i 3188)

5.17 Narrated Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه): I heard the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) as saying something similar to this tradition. He (the narrator) said to Abu Hurayrah: What is due on camels? He replied:

That you should give the best of your camels (in the path of Allah), that you lend a milch she-camel, you lend your mount for riding, that you lend the stallion for covering, and that you give the milk (to the people) for drinking.

(Sunan Abi Dawud 1660)

5.18 Narrated Ibn `Umar (رضي الله عنه): The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said,

"The honorable, the son of the honorable, the son of the honorable, (was) Joseph, the son of Jacob! the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham."

(Sahih al-Bukhari 3390)

5.19 Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said:

"Generosity is close to Allah, close to Paradise, close to the people and far from the Fire. Stinginess is far from Allah, far from Paradise, far from the people and close to the Fire. The ignorant generous person, is more beloved to Allah than the worshiping stingy person."

(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1961)

5.20 Narrated Salih bin Abi Hassan (رضي الله عنه): "I heard Sa'eed bin Musayyab (رضي الله عنه) saying:

'Indeed Allah is Tayyib (good) and he loves Tayyib (what is good), and He is Nazif (clean) and He loves cleanliness, He is Karim (kind) and He loves kindness, He is Jawad (generous) and He loves generosity'. "

(Jami` at-Tirmidhi Vol. 5, Book 41, Hadith 2799, Abridged)

5.21 Hakim ibn Qays ibn 'Asim (رضي الله عنه) reported that when his father was dying, he enjoined his sons:

"Fear Allah and make the oldest among you your leaders. When people make the oldest among them their leaders, they follow their fathers. When they make the youngest among them their leaders, that lowers them in the sight of their peers. You must have wealth and use it well. It is an impetus for the generous and it will make you independent of critics. Beware of asking people. It is a man's last source of earning. When I die, do not wail. There was no wailing for the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. When I die, bury me in a land where the Bakr ibn Wa'il will not know where I am buried. I used to waylay on the roads in the time of the Jahiliyya."

(Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 361)
